"Reports from the scene indicate that life guards spotted the child at the bottom of the pool," said Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha.
Attempts were made to resuscitate him but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

NATIONAL NEWS - A 14-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool in St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Thursday, paramedics said.
