PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - As part of an a organised police operation, police cracked down on the illegal drug trade in Plettenberg Bay last week.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies said a team armed with a search warrant conducted an operation at a home in Fourie Street, Kranshoek, just outside Plettenberg Bay.
"They proceeded with a search of the house when they confiscated 19 Mandrax tablets, 17 quarters and 28 tik straws," he said. "The team arrested a 33-year-old man on charges of dealing in drugs."
He said from Thursday 22 February, Eden Cluster crime combatting team members were deployed to crime-stricken areas in the region on various crime combatting operations as part of "Vuthu Hawe" over the past weekend.
These operations, which included the Plett bust, resulted in the confiscation of drugs, liquor and non-ferrous metal.
