Finger-picking Extravaganza in Keurbooms
A 16-year veteran of the South African music industry, Wiam Otto, is next up on the roster at Mel's Place in Keurboomstrand on Saturday 8 May at 18:00. His passion lies with the authentic sounds of traditional acoustic string music of Celtic origins as well as Appalachian tunes of Tennessee and North Carolina, Cajun music from New Orleans and full-on traditional vastrap.
For his performance at Mel's he will be doing a mix of such songs, heaps of his own material, covers of classic Afrikaans favourites by the likes of Lucas Maree, Laurika Rauch, Koos Kombuis, and Johannes Kerkorrel, plus foot-stomping bluegrass, country, and folk standards.
