KNYSNA NEWS - At about 04:00 yesterday morning, Monday 27 September, police officers of the Tsitsikamma K9 unit and local security personnel were dispatched to a robbery scene on the Rheenendal road.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, it is alleged that there were three people involved in the attempted robbery.
When the suspects entered the premises, one of the victims activated the panic button, alerting security and scaring off the suspects. A search of the area led to the discovery of a 9mm handgun, 16 rounds of ammunition and a knife, all of which were confiscated by the police.
"The investigating officer appealed to the public to come forward with any information which could assist the police to bring the perpetrators to book,” said Spies.

A knife was also found at the scene.
