KNYSNA NEWS - The ongoing roadworks on the Rheenendal road have caused significant disruptions and safety concerns for local residents and motorists.
The contractor, Adriaan Steenkamp, is responsible for the construction.
Despite the lengthy duration of the project, reports have emerged of alarming incidents where road users were being directed into oncoming traffic at stop/go points.
The recurring incidents of motorists being directed into oncoming traffic raises serious questions amongst residents about the competence, supervision and training of the officials involved.
Residents believe that these incidents are a result of the last mentioned shortcomings.
