RHEENENDAL NEWS - Rheenendal Clinic hosted a successful Women’s Day Health Awareness Event last week as part of the final Women’s Month celebrations. The event aimed to empower local women through access to vital health services and wellness education.
Attendees received free health screenings, including Pap smears, blood pressure checks, glucose testing, HIV testing, and family planning services.
The programme opened with a welcome speech by Charlton Manewil, followed by inspiring words from Sandra Companie, the sister in charge at the clinic.
Guest speakers Lauren Avontuur and Racheal Windwaai of Cancer Services delivered powerful messages about early detection and women's health.
Discussions also focused on mental health and wellness, while pamphlets and health resources were shared with attendees.
The clinic committee, Danie Pompies, Sebastian Saayman, Naziva Titus-Canary and Veronica Williams, supported the day’s events, with a vote of thanks delivered by Jolene Blignaut.
