KNYSNA NEWS - The provincial department of transport administration and licensing has sent out an official notice to inform the Western Cape of an increase in registration and licence fees for motor vehicles with effect 1 April 2018.
Vehicles with an expiry date of 31 March 2018 will be affected.
Every vehicle has its own Tare, which is converted into kilogram.
This mass determines the amount payable, e.g. for vehicles between 251 – 500 Tare in kg, the fees applicable are R282.
For vehicles between 501 – 750 Tare in kg, the fees applicable are R300.
The price escalates with the mass.
