PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The 29-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the rape of a teenage girl on a farm on Airport Road, Plettenberg Bay last year appeared in the local magistrate's court on Monday 17 February and has indicated that he wanted to apply for bail.
Arrested in Ladismith
Police spokesperson Captain Malcom Pojie said the suspect was arrested in Ladismith, about 250km from Plett, on Thursday 13 February.
It is alleged the man raped the young girl during the festive season when she visited him and his wife.
Pojie said the teenager reported the incident to her mother upon her return home in Jansenville in the Eastern Cape.
The suspect appeared in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate's Court on Monday and the matter was postponed to 21 February.
