Put on those reading boots for Library Week

KNYSNA NEWS - In anticipation of Library Week from 18 to 24 March, Knysna town library in collaboration with Friends of the Library inaugurated this special period by hosting a book exhibition titled "Venture into the Wild West" on Wednesday 6 March, with staff members dressing up in cowboy outfits.

The "Wild West" books will be on display at the library until the end of March and the public is encouraged to borrow these books (and any other genre available) in the library.

The theme for this year's Library Week is "Collaborate at your library", and the library has prepared a fun-filled programme for both children and adults, as follows:

  • 18 March: Paper Crafts with Wilma Wardale
  • 22 March: Meet the Author with Ian Uys
  • 22 March: Book launch with Aubrey Cloete
  • 18-30 March: Various children's activities.
