PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The Plett Arts Festival is going to be an epic event this year!
Chilled vibes and good vibrations matched with eclectic, colourful, playful, intimate, soul-filled, fun, creative and full-on artistic moments will surround the fest.
Starting with the Plett beaches and estuaries from 3 to 7 October - from Lookout to Poortjies, Central Beach and the Piesang Valley Estuary - the fest switches to Cairnbrogie Farm on the airport road from 8 to 12 October.
Barringtons, with its beautiful kitchen garden, restaurant and small hotel, will host the 2025 Land Art Hub, platforming talks and conversations with artists and thought leaders.
Laid back
This year the fest will be packed with the coolest people, the most laid-back atmosphere and zero judgement should you whip out your phone for a selfie at an amazing land art installation, or put your feet up between galleries for an Aperol at a local restaurant.
Discussing perhaps whether art speaks when words can't or that art isn't just what you see, it's what you feel, anything goes as it's about self-expression and no rules - a blank canvas, and that's exciting.
From art connected to nature to portraits in pastel and oils, bronzes, land art and energetic outdoor concerts, the fest officially starts on 3 October with the Twilight Meander through Plett's main street.
Exceeds expectations
The remaining 10 days are packed with music, fine art, jazz, film, the Plett Land Art Route, collaborative installations, workshops and talks, cultural performances and exhibitions - all happening in Plett forests, beaches, galleries, restaurants and theatre spaces.
"In our fifth year now, this event has been supported over time by both local and international participants," said event director Daron Chatz.
"Each year, it moves my heart and exceeds my expectations in every way. The future of this event is so inspiring, and I am so grateful to every person who puts their time, energy and love into it to make it so magical."
