PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The 39-year-old Plettenberg Bay man facing 14 counts including grooming, sexual assault and statutory rape is to appear in the Plettenberg Bay Regional Court on 12 December.
Plettenberg Bay Magistrate Stephan Lourens told the accused during an appearance in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate's Court on Tuesday 17 October that his case would be transferred to Regional Court 2.
The accused faces charges of sexual assault; sexual exploitation of children; Statutory Rape; consensual sexual penetration of Child Under Age of 16 years; and the Prevention and Combatting of Trafficking in Persons Act 7 of 2013 – Trafficking in Persons.
All the alleged victims were minors between the ages of 13 and 16 years old. Lourens told the accused that he will remain in custody.
