PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The 83-year-old Crags man accused of raping a nine-year-old girl, briefly took his place in the Knysna Regional Court on Thursday, September 22, after the matter was recently transferred there from the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate’s Court.
The man is accused of raping a nine-year-old girl on December 9, 2015 after calling her to a flatlet he was renting from the child’s grandparents in the Crags. The unit is on the grandparents’ property and the crime allegedly took place while the girl was visiting them.
He allegedly asked the little girl to write a letter on his behalf to her grandparents asking them if he could borrow something from them. Once inside the flatlet he allegedly raped her.
