KNYSNA NEWS - The stork had a very busy time over the festive season in Knysna after 10 babies were born at the Knysna Provincial Hospital.
A half a dozen came into the world on Christmas Day and one short of a handful arrived on New Year's Day.
On Christmas Day, a total of four boys and two girls were born and treated at the Knysna Provincial Hospital. The first to arrive, a girl, was born at 14:25 and the last, a boy, was born at 23:40. Of the six babies, one boy and a girl were born at their respective homes.
On New Year's Day, two fewer babies were born at the same hospital and of these, three were boys and only one was a girl. The first Knysna baby of the decade was the only girl, born at 00:50, while the last baby born was at 07:25.
At Life Knysna Hospital, there were no babies born on Christmas and New Year's Day.
