According to Robbie Gibson, NSRI Plettenberg Bay duty coxswain, shortly before 11:00 on Sunday the NSRI Plettenberg Bay siren was sounded, activating the NSRI Plett duty crew to respond.
This followed reports of a boat, with four adult crew onboard, capsized off-shore in waves while exiting the Keurbooms River Mouth.
"The sea rescue craft Rescue Eric Stratford, Rescue Free Runner and Courtney's Rescuer were launched while NSRI rescue swimmers, Bitou Municipal lifeguards and NSRI medics responded directly to the scene," he said.
Upon NSRI's arrival on the scene the casualty RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) was found to already be on the beach along with all four individuals who were not injured.
