GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - NSRI Station 14 Plettenberg Bay and Station 12 Knysna walked away with the joint Best RIB Station award at the NSRI 58th Annual Awards Evening and AGM in Cape Town on Friday 15 August.
The award is given for the Best RIB (rigid inflatable boat) station over the past year, with one of the criteria being successful rescues and response times.
“Through seamless teamwork, strong community engagement, and unwavering operational standards, they have set a new benchmark," said Andrew Ingram, NSRI communications manager. “Moreover, these flanking stations work collaboratively and are the true heartbeat of coastal preparedness in their region.”
