Update
KNYSNA NEWS - After long-time Knysna Primary School principal Rob Stoker retired at the end of last year, the school has now announced his successor as teacher Ivor White.
White has been a teacher for a total of 22 years, of which he spent 14 years at KPS. He started his career at Centurion College in 1998 before moving to Knysna High School for two years followed by a six-year stint at KPS. White then moved to Laerskool Mayville for two years, then back to KPS for eight years, and then finally Plettenberg Bay Primary School for just over three years, ending when he became principal at KPS.
With a massive love of sport, White says he will definitely get involved once he sorts out his "office routine".
With regard to his vision for the school, White had the following to say: "I must properly integrate into the KPS family again and ensure that a brilliant beacon in town continues to shine and inspire everyone who walks through the gates… And then further to empower every Knysna Primary learner to practise the core values of our school so that they can acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value the necessary knowledge and skills that will support them, as life-long learners and enable them to become proud citizens of this fantastic country who would be able to participate in and contribute to the global world."
