KNYSNA NEWS - Two YouTube influencers residing in London, United Kingdom, banded together after the Knysna fires of 7 June to raise funds for those affected, and recently were able to come to South Africa to hand over these funds themselves.
What makes this gesture all the more special, is the fact that both Caspar Lee and Josh Pieters are originally from Knysna, and both attended Oakhill as scholars.
According to Leslie Pieters, Josh’s father, Caspar currently has over 10 million followers on all social media platforms, while Josh is currently sitting at about 1.5 million.
The two young men together raised R275 000 after they posted a video on YouTube when the fires broke out, said Pieters (Leslie).
