PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Suspended Bitou municipal manager Mbulelo Memani is set to return to his office on 9 November following the conclusion of his disciplinary hearing, chaired by disciplinary board chairperson Sibongile Mketsu.
Memani has been suspended for more than a year.
A strict condition for Memani’s return to active duty was that he submit a “formal, signed and unreserved written apology to the Bitou Council” before 6 October, Mketsu said.
The disciplinary board’s ruling on the sanction against Memani, finalised on 2 October, is expected to be tabled at a council meeting next week.
