KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna region’s SANParks Honorary Rangers donated 35 patrol bags to field rangers in the Knysna Lakes, Diepwalle and Harkerville sections of the Garden Route National Park on Monday 5 October.
Field rangers spend long hours conducting patrols and supporting conservation operations across challenging and often remote areas of the park. The patrol bags provide a practical way to carry the equipment they need while carrying out their daily duties.
The donation forms part of SANParks Honorary Rangers’ continued support of conservation operations across the Garden Route National Park.
Through their involvement, the Honorary Rangers help strengthen the capacity of SANParks teams and support staff working on the ground to protect the park’s natural and cultural heritage.
