KNYSNA NEWS - The Leisure Isle Midwinter Matinee was held on Sunday 11 June as a celebration of culture, while also doubling as a fundraiser for Steenbok Nature Reserve.
The matinee was put together by Doc Caldwell, who discovered a historical artifact in the old Thesen piano and asked if he could get it moved to Cearn Hall for a fundraising performance.
The matinee programme was filled with performances from bass baritone Christiaan Snymaan, piano performances from Gillian Teggin and riveting monologues delivered by Doc Robert Ian Caldwell.
The proceeds of the event will go to Steenbok Nature Reserve and the event raised a total of R2 723,50 in support of the beloved nature park.
The programme included performances from Christian Snyman, Gillian Poynton-Teggin, and Doc Robert-Ian Caldwell.
