GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The University of the Third Age (U3A) will be resuming their programmes for the second half of the year with a general meeting on Wednesday 26 July at Emmaüs in George.
There will be tea from 10:00 and the meeting starts at 10:30.
The speaker will be Louw Claasens who has been studying the Knysna seahorse for her PhD. She will be talking about this fascinating little creature, where it lives, what it eats and what its ‘social life' is like.
Anyone wanting to learn more about the seahorse, is welcome to attend. New members are welcome. The annual membership fee is between R60 and R125. Call Ciska Tempest on 044 871 4828 for more information.
