KNYSNA NEWS - Dwayne Pike of Knysna Titans emerged as the overall winner at the recent Abso-Routes jiujitsu league tournament.
Pike claimed the title, along with a cash prize and a floating trophy, after an intense season of battles. His outstanding performance helped solidify his reputation as one of the Garden Route's top athletes in the sport.
A total of 12 competitions was held throughout the year and each event saw competitors from across the Garden Route and beyond, with participants hailing from Oudtshoorn, Plettenberg Bay, Mossel Bay, George and Jeffreys Bay.
The league's organisers, Knysna Titans, expressed their pride in being the first to host a jiujitsu league in the region that welcomed all weight classes and belt rankings.
As the jiujitsu scene in the Garden Route continues to grow, the team looks forward to expanding Abso-Routes even further in 2026, with hopes to invite participants from other provinces to join the action.
