KNYSNA NEWS - The DA in Knysna has announced that it would today launch an application in the Western Cape High Court regarding what they called the recent "cadre deployment" in the office of political office bearers.
In a statement released today, Friday 21 October, DA constituency head Dr Dion George said they are applying to the High Court to set aside the changes to the staff structure that enabled the “illegal” appointments.
He said the application is aimed at terminating the contracts of the “deployed cadres” who were appointed to start work at the beginning of October.
He said the High Court action has been set in motion after the Acting Municipal Manager, Johannes Jonkers, had not given any commitment to reverse the appointments.
