KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Book Festival took the town by storm, attracting readers and literature enthusiasts to a weekend filled with captivating events.
From thought-provoking discussions to engaging author talks, the festival was a resounding success.
The festival also embraced the spirit of giving back. The generosity of participants and the support of sponsors, including Pam Golding's sponsorship of 100 books, ensured that the power of literature reaches those who need it most.
Proceeds were dedicated to improving education through providing underprivileged preschools with valuable reading resources, with the focus on Knysna Education Trust's (Ket) model preschool, the Learning Tree.
A book drive was held during the event, raising funds for 427 books that will be distributed among 20 preschools in Knysna's disadvantaged areas.
The Knysna Book Festival served as a reminder of the transformative power of literature and its ability to shape minds, colour the imagination, and create positive change in the world.
