KNYSNA NEWS - A new initiative was launched in Hornlee recently to represent members of the community within certain income brackets in applying for future housing development proposals.
This follows the outcome of the Knysna Municipal Council meeting of 3 December 2020, where a decision was made to request development proposals for Erf 3339.
The Hornlee Inclusive Housing Solution (HIHS), that focuses on different housing needs, was formed in response to dissatisfaction with proposed housing developments.
HIHS represents individuals within the income category R3 501- R22 000, including normal workers within the public and private sectors as well as entrepreneurs who earn too much to qualify for Breaking New Ground housing.
