KNYSNA NEWS - After the devastating fires, the Knysna community and affected surrounding areas were blessed with the help and support of the Gift of the Givers.
Knysna Primary School (KPS), its governing body and staff unanimously agreed to "give back", in some way, the fabulous help received from the Gift of the Givers, by formulating a plan to assist in the crippling Cape Town drought.
This was done by managing a water collection point for learners and their parents. Five-litre bottles of water were collected/received by the school for the ultimate pick-up of same for delivery to Cape Town.
This was done with the assistance of Chantelle Bezuidenhout through Grant Livingstone.
According to Chantelle, a tremendous 600-plus bottles were collected from KPS. A further 200 were from Knysna High School, 58 from Little Elephants and 12 from Oakhill School.
The bottles were picked up from KPS on Friday 6 March, for onward delivery to Gift of the Givers in Cape Town.
KPS would like to thank all who contributed to this worthy cause, and are proud to give a little back when they received so much.
