KNYSNA NEWS - The Waterfront Knysna Quays held its annual Christmas parties for Greater Knysna children on 28 and 29 November.
Working together with the Knysna Education Trust, about 100 children between the ages of four and six were invited for an early Christmas treat.
They came from the following crèches in Knysna: Hlalani Preschool, Bubble Gummers, Chalkey Talkey, Bongani Preschool, Little Hearts, Siphuncedo, Gugulethu, Michrotech, Maranatha, Judah Square Educare, Isiseko Educare Centre and Jaydine’s.
The children and some teachers were treated to a ride on The Featherbed Co’s Three Legs ferry where the skipper entertained the children by telling them about the Knysna lagoon.
Father Christmas surprised the children by meeting the ferry halfway in a small boat and joined the cruise back to the Quays.
Back at the Waterfront each child received a gift from Father Christmas and had a chance to pose for a photo with him.
This was the 12th time that the Quays held their Christmas event for children, and the fifth year that it was held in collaboration with The Featherbed Co.

The management want to extend a special thank-you to The Featherbed Co for their assistance in making this outing possible and a special experience for the children, as well as taking care of their safety.
