This Knysna suburb features homes that are self-sustainable. The off-the-grid homes of Julie Gosling and Wendy Dewberry, two enterprising Noetzie residents, will be the hosts for the morning.
After the morning tour, coordinated by the George Wildlife and Environmental Society of South Africa (Wessa), visitors are welcome to enjoy their picnic lunch on the beach or spend more time at the outdoor classroom site.
The attendance fee is R60 per person (payable as cash on the day at registration). The fee is in support of Wessa's Environmental Education programme. Attendees must bring their own picnic lunch. Booking is essential.
