KNYSNA NEWS AND GALLERY - The Knysna Motor Show provided a spectacle once more when it returned to the Knysna events calendar for the first time in three years, dazzling petrolheads and non-car lovers alike at Thesen Harbour Town on Sunday 1 May.
Covid-19 was merely an idea in the mind of the universe the last time the Knysna Motor Show saw breathtaking cars grace our shores in 2019.
Since then, its absence left a hole in the hearts of car lovers both local and further afield.

Organisers however made sure to fill this void as soon as circumstances allowed, ensuring that these car lovers would be able to feast their eyes on these stunning motor vehicles once more.
From dazzling Austin Healeys to graceful Ferraris to incredible racing car pedigree to the ever-brilliantly engineered class of German production cars (and let us not forget the ever-powerful American muscle cars), you could satisfy your appetite, regardless of where your affiliation lies within the car community.
The 120+ cars were on show through the day on Sunday, with gates opening to the public at 09:00.
The Shelby Daytona Coupe was one of the most-looked-forward-to cars before the event.
A number of South African production, special and replica builds formed an important part of the show. These included an Opel Kadett Superboss by SentiMETAL; a pair of modern Shelby Mustangs from Shelby SA, supported by classic versions of the marque, and the 1967 Shelby GT500 from Hi-Tech Automotive.
There was also a vast array of Cobra replicas from around the country that donned their Sunday best for the show. Not only were they easy on the eye, but they could be heard from every corner of the show whenever their keys were turned and they roared into life.
The day was graced with perfect sunny weather from 09:00 until it was time to wind up the windows and close the hoods at 16:00.
With the Simola Hillclimb all set to return this coming weekend, those who attended the 2022 Knysna Motor Show will undoubtedly be raring and ready to go when Classic Car Friday gets going on Friday 6 May.
