KNYSNA NEWS - As the police enter the fifth day of searching for Stanley de Bruin who disappeared in the Knysna Lagoon, the help of the community is required to help find him.
The man was last seen on Saturday when he dived into the lagoon next to the train bridge, waved at his friends and said, "I'm going for a swim." Captain Malcolm Pojie, spokesperson for the Southern Cape Police said De Bruin had allegedly been swept away by a current.
Yesterday afternoon Pojie requested that everybody along the lagoon and surrounding beaches must be on the lookout for the missing man. “He could be swept away from the place where he went into the water and possibly washed out somewhere else.”
Forensic Pathology (Knysna) and divers from as far as Heidelberg (Western Cape) are assisting in the search.
