KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna police have opened an investigation into the death of an elderly man whose body was found at the Green Hole on Leisure Isle early this morning.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, the body of the 75-year-old man was found by security personnel at about 06:50 this morning, 16 March.
"Police responded to the scene and the man was declared dead by paramedics on scene. The cause of death is yet to be determined. No foul play is suspected," Spies clarified. "An autopsy to determine the cause of death will be conducted during the week."
Spies stated further that the man's vehicle as well as some personal belongings were also found at the parking area. The identity of the deceased will not be disclosed.
