Public order police have also been spotted keeping an eye out in Plett ahead of today’s voting.

PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS & VIDEO - Early risers in Bitou have made use of the opportunity to make their mark in the local government elections.

Voting stations opened at 07:00 and registered voters have until 21:00 tonight to cast their votes.

The process has however not been without issues.

The Ikhwezi Political Movement has already filed a complaint with the IEC, stating that one of the major parties in Bitou had allegedly been using local municipal offices for campaigning while IEC officials used the same venue to deal with ballots before the election.

Public order police have also been spotted keeping an eye out in Plett ahead of today’s voting.
