KNYSNA NEWS - The body of a Joodse Kamp man who had been missing for several weeks has been found.
Southern Cape Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies confirmed that the missing person, Lunga Willie (33), was found deceased on 2 September.
His body was discovered by a fisherman in the water near Waterfront Drive.
An inquest docket has been opened, and an autopsy was conducted to determine the cause of death. According to Spies, no foul play is suspected at this stage.
Willie was reported missing on 16 August.
His disappearance prompted community concern and a missing person notice was later circulated on social media, including a post by the Knysna Community Police Forum on 14 September.
