KNYSNA NEWS - Fraaisig Primary School's Growsmart Mathematics team achieved an impressive third place in the provincial finals of the prestigious Growsmart Maths Competition, held in Cape Town on 13 September.
The Fraaisig trio - Isenathi Jacobs, Luphelo Apleni, and Khayone Siyo - once again proved they meant business when it came to numbers.
Competing against the top young mathematicians from across the Western Cape, the team showcased exceptional problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Their journey to the finals followed a series of intense rounds, where they consistently performed at a high level.
The provincial finals marked the culmination of months of preparation, with the team proudly representing both their school and district.
The Growsmart competition, known for promoting literacy, mathematics, and problem-solving among primary school learners, attracts top talent from across the region each year.
"Placing in the top three at provincial level is a significant accomplishment, and one that has brought great pride to the Fraaisig Primary School community," said principal Constance Stuurman.
"With this success, the team has not only demonstrated academic excellence, but also inspired fellow learners to aim high and persevere. Congratulations to team Fraaisig for flying the school flag high and proving that with dedication and teamwork, anything is possible."
