PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS – A 67-year-old man was brutally murdered on a farm at Harkerville, on the N2 between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, at about 15:45 yesterday, 10 September.
His hands were tied and he had suffered multiple injuries to his body and head.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, the man's body was discovered after a Mercedes-Benz was found abandoned at Sedgefield earlier the day, leading to a search for the owner, which took security personnel to the victim's home.
Preliminary investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, aged 28 and 34. The suspects, a woman and a man, remain in police custody and will appear in court once charged.
Spies said Plettenberg Bay police opened a murder docket and the suspects are facing charges of murder and theft of a motor vehicle.
