KNYSNA NEWS - We have reached what is arguably many people's favourite time of the year – the festive season. Many of us will enjoy the privilege to take a few days off to spend with our loved ones. Some of us will be staying in our slice of paradise while others might be travelling and, of course, we welcome all our seasonal visitors.
Should you be travelling, please do so safely. All road users must obey the laws of the road, which include keeping to the speed limit, maintaining a safe following distance and not drinking and driving.
I know that the increase in traffic on the roads – especially in town – may become very frustrating, but please be patient and courteous. Everyone must reach their destination and you don't want to ruin a family's life.
Our area is known for its natural beauty, the array of natural habitats and the various activities they offer. Have fun playing in our natural playground! Please do so safely, do not litter, take away only photographs and memories, and be mindful of the other holidaymakers who are also enjoying their vacation.
If you are working over this period, as many of our municipal employees will be doing, thank you for dedication and discipline. I am sure that you will still be able to fit in some resting time and hope that you have a vacation planned in the near future.
Please look after one another, but have fun! Relax and recharge.
Festive wishes
