WILDERNESS NEWS & VIDEOS - Each year the Wilderness Art Association (WAA) partakes in a photo shoot to market its annual, fabulous Wilderness Art Festival.
For the shoot this year, the association embraced the community celebrating 100 years of Wilderness - a huge cause for celebration in these trying times.
The WAA invited the community to dress in red and to place a bunch of flowers or a potted plant in an area marked "100" on the Village Common on Saturday 21 August.
Residents gathered at 09:00 and after placing their flowers, waved at a drone filming the proceedings from above. Individuals could take their flowers home after the event.
Carole Durandt of WAA conveys a special thank you to Lorcan Caddick, the excellent drone pilot who shot the awesome video and photos.
Community members were asked to dress in red for the special occasion.

The WAA initiative took place as its members prepare for the Wilderness Art Festival on 7, 8 and 9 October. The launch of the festival takes place at the Wilderness Hotel on 7 October at 18:00. This year the festival theme is aptly "A 100 years of Wilderness" and once again includes "A Night of 1 000 Drawings".
