GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A large vegetation fire is raging in Hartenbos Heuwels and the Mossel Bay Advertiser has been advised that property may be in danger.
Fire fighting crews of the Mossel Bay Municipality Fire and Disaster Management Services are on the scene.
According to fire chief Joe Johnston aerial resources have been deployed. A Working on Fire spotter, fixed wing bomber and helicopter have been dispatched.
George Fire Brigade has sent a crew and fire fighting vehicle to assist with the vegetation fire currently burning in Hartenbos Heuwels.
R328 closed to traffic
The fire at Hartenbos Heuwels has spread in the direction of the R328. The road has subsequently been closed to traffic.
