KNYSNA NEWS - Once again, in preparation for upcoming ballet eisteddfods, a large group of dancers from Carmen's School of Dance took to the stage at the Brenton Community Hall on Saturday 3 August to show off what they have to offer.
Carmen's dancers have been hard at work on their intricate dance routines for months on end, and their intense training finally paid off when they wowed the crowd at their annual Ballet High Tea which brought more than 100 parents and fans of ballet together to marvel at the skill on show.

The dancers who took part ranged in age from as young as six to 16 years old, with a total of 20 dances being performed over two acts.
Moms and dads of the dancers were tasked with bringing some snacks and desserts along with them, providing a perfect break between the two acts where those in attendance could enjoy a scrumptious high tea.
While not all of the dancers will be taking part in the upcoming eisteddfods, a large portion will be, and in August alone dancers will be travelling to and taking part in three different eisteddfods in three different cities.
The first will be the Cape Town Ballet Eisteddfod from 14 to 17 August, then it will be time for the Garden Route event on 19 August, and finally Port Elizabeth from 21 to 24 August.
