He was arrested on June 8 and appeared in court the next day where it came to light that he had been on parole at the time of the incident and had two previous convictions – one for attempted murder and another for assault.
Prosecutor Henriette Breedt indicated that due to his recent arrest the Department of Correctional Services had made a decision to revoke his parole – which expires in 2018.
The suspect then indicated that he no longer intended to apply for bail in latest matter.
The case was postponed until August 5 for further investigation.
Bossiegif murder accused Lulama Candani also appeared in court today following psychiatric evaluation at Valkenberg Hospital in Cape Town.
Candani is accused of slitting eight-year-old Sesona Bhayibhile’s throat and dumping her body near her home in December last year.
Breedt indicated that the psychiatric evaluation report showed that Candani was fit to stand trial and that there were no signs mental illnesses.
