KNYSNA NEWS - The disappearance of missing Knysna teenager Oyisa Mgqwanci (11) remains a mystery to the community and the police. Oyisa was last seen on 5 October 2019 in the Joodsekamp area. It is alleged she left home to go to a nearby shop and never returned.
The girl, who was described as having brown eyes and brown hair, was last seen wearing a white shirt and a pair of blue jeans.
Southern Cape Police spokesperson Captain Malcom Pojie said the search for the missing girl is ongoing.
Principal at Chris Nissen Primary School where Oyisa attended school, Nozipho Myo, said they have not heard anything since the girl went missing. "It has been quiet ever since, it's very sad," Myo said.
Pojie confirmed that police are also still searching for Francis Froechlick (67) who has been missing since 14 October 2019.
"Anyone with information that could assist the police is kindly requested to contact the investigation officer, Sergeant Ludwe Dlambulo, at the George Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) at 082 335 1200 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111," said Pojie.
