KNYSNA NEWS - 11-Year-old Oyisa Mggqwaci from eThembeni is still missing.
The Chris Nissen Primary School learner was last seen on 5 October.
The police have been actively searching for Oyisa, along with community members, a trained search-and-rescue dog attached to the K9 unit and members of the Knysna Community Policing Forum.
Speaking on behalf of the family, her uncle, Luntu Bevile, says this is a very difficult time for them as a family as they don’t know what could’ve happened to their child: "No parent should ever have to go through what we are going through and at this stage we will accept just about anything. We just need to know what happened to her.”
The George Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual offences unit (FCS) has urged the public to help find Oyisa who was last seen at the Joodsekamp settlement in Knysna on Saturday 5 October.
Investigation indicates she went out with friends but never returned home. She was dressed in a blue shirt and blue jeans at the time of her disappearance.
Anyone with information, is requested to contact Sergeant Ludwe Dlambulo on 082 335 1200 or 044 302 6677.
All information will be dealt with confidentially.
