KNYSNA NEWS - On Mandela Day, SANParks Honorary Rangers organised and held a clothes and soup drive for the needy at Loerie Park, demonstrating that the spirit of giving is still very much alive.
With the generous sponsorship and collaboration of Food Lovers Market Knysna, more than 100 people were fed and provided with warm winter clothing.
Reconnecting with society via charitable endeavours is one of SANParks' key tenets.
Regional general manager of SANParks in the Garden Route Vuyiswa Gadeba said they wanted to go above and beyond what they did the previous years and assist as many communities as they can.
The SANParks rangers and honorary rangers volunteered on Mandela Day and fed more than 100 individuals.
The SANParks volunteers were all passionate about the reach of the Mandela Day initiative and eager to lend a helping hand to the community.
