KNYSNA NEWS - Members of Knysna's ABC League, a rap trio that promises "bomb ass" lyrics, motivation and stories that regular folks can relate to, are hard at work producing their latest offering, a mix tape titled 21st Century Music.
Group members Cameron "Ghost" Ruiters, Benito "Publo" Samuels and Aliou "Ali" Bileye say they are experimenting with a new sound and that the mix tape "has a little something for everyone".
"We have everything from trap, R&B, bomber music and so much more," said Samuels. "We're testing out our versatility and having the time of our lives in the process. We're also trying to expand our fan base of peers, the younger generation and older people."
The trio is signed up with T3 Music, a Knysna-based company, and has released two albums produced by Thamsanqa Nkwalase (known to most as Tylor).
The group met at Knysna Secondary School a few years ago where their friendship through music was cemented. They have toured within the Western Cape, dropping singles and releasing their videos on YouTube. They are however, leaving their fans hanging as to when the mix tape will be released.
