KNYSNA NEWS - In celebration of Heritage Day, SANParks took a significant step towards promoting cultural inclusivity and understanding within the Garden Route National Park.
Staff members from the park's three sections visited the largest Rastafarian community in South Africa, Judah Square in Knysna, on Friday 22 September.
The purpose of the visit was to foster cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the park staff and the Rastafarian community.
The day involved engaging activities and discussions, allowing the SANParks staff to learn about the Rastafarian culture, its history, beliefs and practices. Stories were shared and connections were formed, promoting understanding, respect and unity among the diverse communities.
