KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna-Plett Herald would like to extend a warning to motorists in Knysna to be cautious along Waterfront Drive this afternoon, as there is yet again a possibility of salt water flooding.
Sections of Waterfront Drive were underwater on Sunday 27 October and yesterday, Monday 28 October when the tide came in and Spring Tide took the tide to 2m and 2.02m on Sunday and Monday respectively according to tide-forecast.com.
These tide heights have come during Spring Tide in Knysna, with the new moon coming yesterday, with windy conditions yesterday further worsening conditions.
Today, the tide is expected to reach 1.96m at 16:17, only 6cm less than what it reached yesterday. It is then expected to reach 1.77m at 04:39 tomorrow morning, and 1.84m at 16:52 tomorrow afternoon.
