KNYSNA NEWS - A man was found dead on business premises in the Knysna CBD in the early hours of Sunday 10 July. Police also found a pistol at the scene.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, Knysna Police have opened an investigation into the man's death after his body was found at about 03:45 on Sunday.
"Police were dispatched to a scene at the corner of Main Road and Gray Street," Spies said.
"Upon arrival, they found the body of the man with a gunshot wound to his head behind the counter and a 9mm pistol on scene. He was later declared dead by paramedics on the scene. The firearm was seized. It will be sent for ballistics at the police laboratory. Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. No foul play is suspected. His identity and age are yet to be confirmed by the next of kin."
