PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Members of the Kranshoek community held a peaceful protest in Plettenberg Bay on Saturday 13 January to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse.
The event was organised by the Recovery Anonymous Programme (RAP), a local organisation dedicated to helping individuals overcome addiction.
Community members underscored the importance of unity as they drew attention to the pressing issue of substance addiction and its impact on individuals in the community.
Like many other communities, Kranshoek has been grappling with the devastating consequences of drug abuse.
The demonstration began at Kranshoek Primary, a symbolic starting point that represents the importance of education and nurturing a drug-free environment for the younger generation.
Concerned community members and supporters of the cause gathered with signs, banners and messages of hope and resilience.
The drug awareness march started at Kranshoek Primary.
By partnering with the Institution of Grace (IOG) recovery centre, the RAP is able to broaden the scope of its support for those in need and those struggling with addiction.
