GEORGE NEWS - George singing duo, Jovan and Thelma Heyns paid tribute to all first responders in South Africa by singing the national anthem with members of the local ER24 team on Sunday 26 April.
On Sunday morning, at approximately 11:00, residents in the vicinity would've been able to hear them singing Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrica from the parking area in front of the ER24 offices in York Street, George.
"Thank you to ER24 for allowing us to sing our beautiful national anthem with them today in tribute to all our first responders in South Africa.
"As many of you know, Jovan is a medic himself and Thelma is a certificated first-aider, so first responders are very close to their hearts," read a post on the couple's Facebook page.
Prior permission for the event was obtained from local police.
