On Sunday July 10, The PinkDrive walk will set off from the festival grounds at 8:00 and invite everyone to join them.
Bring all your friends and family – men and children are welcome too – and join us for this fun, 5km walk around Knysna.
And not to worry if you don’t think you’re fit enough, the race isn’t timed and you can do it at your own pace in your own time.
The Women’s Walks are held to support PinkDrive, an organisation that works tirelessly throughout South Africa to provide women with breast-cancer examinations and education. They have a station at every walk where they offer free breast examinations and the opportunity to talk to a representative about any breast-related matters.
There’s an added element of excitement this year – the chance to win a brand new stylish FIAT 500 in the national competition draw taking place at the end of the Women's Walk series.
While the core focus of the walks is always on raising awareness around breast cancer and early detection, this is our way of saying thank you to our dedicated supporters who continue to come out in their thousands to support this incredible cause.
A walk village will be set up at the Festival grounds, which will also be at the start and finish points of the walk.
Participants will be treated to a host of fun activities on the day, including great live entertainment. Delicious hot and cold snacks, such as boerie rolls, will be for sale at the Pick n Pay Food stand before and after the walk and you'll also have the chance to purchase pretty pink goodies from the PinkDrive stand.
Once the walk is over, it will be time to relax and enjoy the lucky draws and best-dressed competition, so now’s your chance to dress up in pink from head to toe.
You’ll also get to sample delicious smoothies from our nutrition partner, Futurelife, and get to take some home too, and everyone who finishes the walk will be presented with a medal and a bag choc-full of goodies.
Of course you'll also have plenty of time to chat to the representatives at the PinkDrive station too. Sound good?

Five lucky winners will be drawn once the walk has finished – those five winners will not only win a FIAT hamper on the day, but will also stand the chance of being entered into the national draw. From the five winners drawn on the day, one person will be randomly selected to be entered into the national draw to win the FIAT 500. The winner will be announced at the end of the series at the Pick n Pay Women’s Walk taking place in Soweto on October 29.
